ANGER

"EVERY SIXTY SECONDS YOU SPEND ANGRY, UPSET OR MAD IS A FULL MINUTE OF HAPPINESS YOU'LL NEVER GET BACK"

I have this little saying posted on my wall at work. I look at it every day to help remind me not to get angry.
I have to tell a little story that happened to me over the weekend.
As some of you know things have been a little crazy for me the last few months. For some reason I can not get the drama out of my life. But anyway, I went to take Chelsea to school on Monday morning and "SOMEONE" had keyed my driver side door of my fancy little black car.
I was so MAD that I could not say anything all the way to the bus stop.
When I returned home I call the police and filed a report. But with out actually seeing the person there really is nothing they can do. Unless I have proof.
Funny thing is I know who did this. Yes I know!!!!! But there is nothing I can do.
I thought of revenge on this person but for what? Would that make me a better person? No it would only drag me down to their level. Which is pretty low.
So every day that I get in my car and look at that nice key job on my car I thank my lucky stars that I made the choices I have made in the last little while.
So I have taken this saying and used it every day. Because someone else is not going to ruin my day by doing stupid childish acts against me. In fact I feel sorry for them that they had to do that just to prove a point.

A Brand New Year

So as promised in my last blog I would expaling Chelseas DVD.
Chelsea is a social butterfly she wants and is pretty much into everything. So she came home one day and asked if she could join a youth choir. I said sure not really knowing anything about it. So it started in October of 2008 and for the next month and 1/2 it was practices every Sunday for 2 hours in Bountiful or Salt Lake.
Then we had a recording day in Provo and they spent the whole day recording the songs that they were singing.
Crunch time came around the first of November when we went three days in a row from 5 p.m. til 10:00 p.m or later buy Friday Chelsea was spent and she had to take the day off of school.
So anyway the DVD was called A Brand New Year and it was youth all over the Salt Lake Valley that got together and did this DVD. It was like a high school musical, churchy presentation.
All over the United States and some places in Europe watched this DVD on New Years Eve. This DVD was for the Young Women and Young Mens introduction to the new theme for 2009.
It was a great experinece for all of us. It has blessed our lives being a part of this. I am so proud of Chelsea for wanting to do this.
I just have to say what wonderful kids I have. They have truly blessed my life.

New Years Day Fun

I just wanted to post this on my blog. Because it doesn't matter how old you are you can still have fun.
For New Years Eve, I went out with some friends. So I had my mom take Jesse so he wouldn't be home alone.
So on New Years Day Chelsea and I went up to my moms to pick up Jesse. When we walked in they were watching a DVD that Chelsea had been in. (I'll explain later) My mom says to Jesse.. when this is over we'll take your mom out to do what we have been doing. I wasn't sure what they were talking about.
Jesse was so excited when the DVD was over! So my mom goes and gets her coat, Jesse gets his and some sleds. We go into the back yard and my brother and brother in law had made a sleding track in my moms back yard.
To tell you about my moms back yard, she has had the best hill in all of Brigham!!! Kids came from all over to snowboard on this hill. Tyson and Co. spent a lot of time making jumps and rails every winter for as long as I can remember.
Then my mom had to put a fence up to keep her dog in and the neighbor kids out and that ruined the hill.
So when we went in the back yard here was this sleding track. My mom (young at heart) says let me show you how this is done. And she gets on the sled and down the hill she goes. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. So then Jesse goes and it looks like fun and I say let me try this. Well lets just say my mom must practice because I kept falling of the track and rolling in the snow. I tried a couple of times and never made it down the track. But my mom was busting a gut she was laughing so hard.
Chelsea made it down the track and brusied her tail bone at the bottom.
That was a lot of fun. Even though the fence was put up my mom still has the best hill in all of Brigham!!!!!!!
